Minneola eye screenings
It is important that you have periodic eye exams to make sure that your eyes are remaining healthy. This is particularly true since there are many eye diseases and disorders which show no symptoms in the early stages. At our vision practice, Clermont Family Eyecare, you can receive
Minneola eye screenings from our top-notch optometrist, Dr. Samantha Love.
When a patient comes to our vision practice for Minneola eye screenings, their eyes will be screened for many different diseases and disorders. During this comprehensive eye exam, your eyes will also be tested for their visual acuity. If you are found to be nearsighted, farsighted, or have astigmatism, you will be able to receive a contact lens or eyeglass lens prescription which will have you seeing clearly. Your eyes will also be tested for many different eye diseases including: glaucoma; cataracts; macular degeneration; diabetic retinopathy; dry eyes; retinal tears; and other problems of the cornea, macula, and retina. Glaucoma is just one eye disease which has no symptoms in the early stages. However, it is particularly important that this eye disease is found early during a comprehensive eye exam so that it can be easily treated. Treatment for glaucoma today focuses on keeping the disease from progressing, rather than restoring vision. This is because vision loss to glaucoma cannot usually be restored. Our eye doctor will be able to provide treatment for many different types of eye problems, as well. However, if advanced eye care is needed, she will refer you to an ophthalmologist who specializes in the treatment you specifically need. If you are experiencing any type of vision problem or eye discomfort, we urge you to contact our office for an immediate appointment to see our eye doctor.
